Terms of Use for AI Bedtime Stories

Latest update: August 20, 2026

Who these terms are with

AI Bedtime Stories ("the app") is published by CWTI Ltd, 24 Tax Suite 137b Westlink House 981 Great West Road, Brentford, TW8 9DN, United Kingdom ("we", "us"). By installing or using the app you accept these terms.

These terms cover the app itself. The store you installed from — Google Play or the App Store — has its own terms with you, and those govern the payment, the refund and the account. On iOS, the app is also licensed under Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement.

Your licence

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the app on devices you own or control, for as long as you comply with these terms and with the rules of the store you installed from.

You may not sell, rent or redistribute the app, remove its notices, or attempt to reverse engineer, decompile or modify it, except where the law gives you that right regardless of what a contract says.

Who the app is for

The app is written for a parent or carer to use. It is you, the adult, who holds the account, enters the details of the child and chooses which story to read. A child is not expected to operate the app alone, and you are responsible for what is entered and for what is read aloud.

What the app does

You give a few details — a first name, an age range, a place, a style — and the app writes a short bedtime story from them. You need an account to do this, because the story is generated on our servers and the stories you save are kept there so they follow you to a new device. The Privacy Policy explains what is stored and what leaves the device. You can delete your account from inside the app; that removes your account, your saved stories and your preferences from our servers. Some records can outlast it — a purchase record the store keeps, and anything we are required to hold for a legal duty or a dispute — and the Privacy Policy sets out what those are.

The stories are written by a machine

Every story is generated by an artificial-intelligence model. It is new text, produced on the spot, and no person reads it before you do. That has two consequences you should hold on to.

First, the model can be wrong. Anything in a story that looks like a fact — a date, an animal, a place, a piece of science — may simply not be true, and none of it is advice of any kind. Second, although the app instructs the model to write gentle material suitable for a child at bedtime, no filter is perfect. Read the story before you read it to your child. If something comes out wrong, generate another one and tell us about it.

We do not claim ownership of the stories the app generates for you, and you may read, keep and print them for your own family. We cannot promise that a story is unique: another person giving similar details may receive a similar story.

Free use, advertising and Pro

The app carries no advertising of any kind, on any plan. Without paying, you can create one short story, so you can see what the app produces before you decide. There is no recurring free allowance after it.

Pro is an auto-renewing subscription, sold in two forms:

  • Monthly subscription. It renews automatically each month until you cancel.
  • Yearly subscription. It renews automatically each year until you cancel.

Pro is what makes the app usable night after night: one story every 24 hours, and long stories as well as short ones. The price and the currency shown in the app at the moment of purchase are the ones that apply. If a free trial or an introductory price is offered to you, its length and its terms are the ones the store shows you at that moment, and the subscription renews at the full price when it ends unless you cancel first. Where no trial is shown, none applies.

Billing and renewal

Payment is taken by the store, not by us. A subscription renews at the end of each period unless you cancel at least 24 hours before it ends. Your account is charged for renewal within the 24 hours before the period ends. We never see or hold your card details.

Cancelling

Cancel at any time in your store account: Google Play → Payments and subscriptions → Subscriptions, or App Store → your name → Subscriptions. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription. Cancelling stops the next renewal; the period you have paid for runs to its end.

Refunds

Refunds are handled by the store under its own policy, because the store took the payment. If you believe something went wrong with a purchase, write to us and we will help you put the request to the right place.

Restoring a purchase

Use "Restore purchase" in the app to bring Pro back after a reinstall or on a new device signed in to the same store account. A purchase made on one store cannot be restored on the other.

Acceptable use

Do not use the app unlawfully, do not interfere with it, and do not try to obtain Pro without paying for it. Do not use it to produce material that is unlawful, or that is meant to harm or frighten a child. Do not enter another person's details without their permission, and do not enter anything about a child that you would not want stored — the Privacy Policy asks the same.

Changes to the app and to these terms

We may change, suspend or discontinue any part of the app, including what the free story allows and the Pro limit. We may update these terms; the updated version is posted on this page with a new update date. If a change matters to a purchase you have already made, the terms in force when you bought apply to that purchase.

No warranty

The app is provided "as is" and "as available". To the extent the law allows, we make no warranty that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or suited to a particular purpose. Story generation depends on a third-party model and on a network, and can be unavailable or slow for reasons outside our control. We make no warranty about the content of any generated story, for the reasons set out above.

Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for lost data. Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited. If you are a consumer, you keep every right your local consumer law gives you, and nothing here takes those away.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. If you are a consumer resident elsewhere, you also keep the protection of the mandatory law of the country where you live.
