Smart Pantry – Delete Your Account
You can delete your Smart Pantry account and all associated data in two ways:
Option 1: From the App
- Open Smart Pantry
- Go to Settings (gear icon)
- Tap Delete Account
- Confirm the deletion
This immediately and permanently deletes your account and all data from our servers.
Option 2: By Email
If you cannot access the app, send a deletion request to:
imorgillo+smartpantry@gmail.com
Please send the request from the email address associated with your Smart Pantry account so we can verify your identity. We will process your request within 7 business days.
What Gets Deleted
- Permanently deleted: Your account profile, all pantry items, product scan history, and any preferences stored on our servers.
- Not stored by us: Product label photos (used for AI expiry detection) are never stored — they are processed in memory and discarded immediately.
- Third-party data: Firebase Analytics and Crashlytics data is anonymized and retained per Google’s standard retention policies. We do not control deletion of data already processed by third-party services.
Retention Period
Account deletion is immediate and irreversible. There is no additional retention period for your personal data on our servers.
