Gift It is a social mobile application designed to help you track gift ideas for friends and family. User accounts, friend lists, and gift ideas are stored securely on our backend servers to ensure your data is synced and backed up. We use third-party services for authentication, website analytics, and error monitoring.

When you use Gift It, the following data is stored on our backend servers:

Account information: Basic profile information, such as email address and user ID, provided by your chosen sign-in provider.
User Content: Information about friends and gift ideas you create within the app.
Authentication tokens: Stored securely to maintain your session.
Device Tokens: Stored to send you push notifications about upcoming birthdays or events.

Data collected automatically by third-party services

Personal Data may be collected automatically by third-party SDKs integrated into the app. These may include:

Device information: for example device model and OS version.
Usage Data: for example app opens and crash reports.

Methods of processing

Data processing is carried out using IT-enabled tools and organizational procedures strictly related to the purposes indicated below. In addition to the Owner, the Data may be accessible to certain persons in charge of administration or system administration, or to external parties such as third-party technical service providers and hosting providers appointed, if necessary, as Processors by the Owner.

Place

Processing occurs at the Owner's operating offices and in any other places where the parties involved in the processing are located.

Retention time

Account and content data: Retained as long as your account is active. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time via the app settings.
Third-party data: Retained according to the retention policies of the respective third-party services.

We use cloud providers to host our API and database.

Error Tracking

Firebase Crashlytics (Google LLC)
Crashlytics helps us identify and fix crashes in real time.
Personal Data processed: device information, OS version, and stack traces.

Website Analytics

Google Analytics 4 (Google LLC)
Google Analytics 4 provides aggregated website measurement, such as page views and clicks from the website to the Google Play listing.
Personal Data processed: Usage Data, device and browser information, approximate location, cookies, or similar technologies.

Information on opting out

Notifications: You can opt out of push notifications by changing your device settings.
Account Deletion: You can delete your account and all server-stored data directly from the Settings section of the app.

Children's privacy

Gift It is a general audience app. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13.
