Privacy Policy – Brainrot Tax
Latest update: January 19, 2026
Short version: Brainrot Tax is built to work locally (no accounts). We store your taxed-app selection and unlock timers on your device. We show rewarded ads using Google AdMob; AdMob may process device identifiers to serve ads and measure performance. We do not use behavioral analytics in the app.
Owner and Data Controller
Official app name: Brainrot Tax

This local data is used to implement the “unlock for 5 minutes” rule. It
is not uploaded to our servers.
Data processed by third-party services (Ads)
We integrate Google AdMob to show rewarded ads. AdMob and related Google services may process:
- Device information (e.g., device model, OS version, app version)
- Advertising identifiers (e.g., Android Advertising ID / Google Advertising ID; on iOS, IDFA where permitted by the system and your settings)
- Approximate location (inferred from IP address, as described in Google’s policies)
- Ad interaction data (impressions, reward events, clicks) and anti-fraud signals
We do not receive your raw advertising identifier; we see aggregated ad-related reporting in the AdMob dashboard.
App Permissions and Why We Request Them
Brainrot Tax needs system permissions to detect and gate access to taxed apps. These permissions are used only for app-blocking functionality and do not grant us access to your personal content (messages, photos, etc.).
Android
- Accessibility Service: used to detect when a taxed app moves to the foreground so we can present the unlock flow.
- Usage Access: used as a fallback signal for foreground app detection on some devices.
iOS
- Screen Time APIs (FamilyControls / ManagedSettings / DeviceActivity): used to shield (block) selected apps. On iOS, you unlock by opening Brainrot Tax, not by tapping the blocked app.
Purposes of Processing
- Provide the core app functionality: enforce unlock windows and maintain your selected taxed apps locally.
- Monetization: display rewarded ads via AdMob to support development.
- Compliance: show and store advertising-consent choices where required by law and platform policies.
Third-Party Services We Use
Advertising — Google AdMob (Google LLC)
Brainrot Tax uses AdMob to show rewarded ads. AdMob may process device identifiers and ad interaction data to serve ads and measure performance.
How Google uses data from partners: https://policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites
Consent (Ads) — Google User Messaging Platform (UMP)
Where required, we display a consent form to manage ad personalization preferences using Google’s consent tools bundled with the Google Mobile Ads SDK.
Data Retention
- Local app data: retained on your device until you clear the app’s storage, uninstall the app, or change settings inside the app.
- Third-party (AdMob) data: retained according to Google’s policies and retention settings.
International Transfers
Google may process data in multiple countries (including the United States). For details, see Google’s privacy documentation and the “partner sites” policy linked above.
Your Choices and Controls
- Ads personalization: you can limit ad personalization through your device settings. Brainrot Tax also provides an in-app “Update Ads Consent” control where available.
- Permissions: you can revoke Accessibility / Usage Access / Screen Time permissions at any time in system settings. The app may not be able to enforce blocking without them.
- Reset: uninstalling the app removes locally stored data.
“Do Not Sell or Share” (US State Privacy Disclosures)
We do not sell personal information for money. However, some US privacy laws may consider sharing device identifiers with advertising partners for personalized advertising as “sharing” or a “sale.” You can limit ad personalization via your device settings and (where available) the in-app consent controls described above.
Children’s Privacy
Brainrot Tax is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal data, please contact us so we can take appropriate action.
Security
We take reasonable measures to protect locally stored data. No method of storage is 100% secure; you should keep your device secure (screen lock, OS updates).
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy to reflect operational, legal, or platform changes. We will post the updated policy on this page and may provide in-app notice where appropriate.
